Sheila Elliott, a beloved mother, grandmother, and daughter, passed away on January 9, 2026, leaving behind a void that will be deeply felt by her family and friends. But here's where it gets emotional: her legacy extends far beyond her immediate family. Sheila's impact on her community was profound, and her passing has sparked a wave of grief and reflection.
Sheila was a pillar of strength and love for her children, Laura, Aaron, Shea, Ciaran, and James. Her role as a mother was one of her greatest sources of joy, and she cherished every moment spent with her family. As a grandmother, she was adored by her grandson, Oisín, and her presence brought immense happiness to his life.
Born to Eddie and Teresa Hanna, Sheila was a cherished daughter who embodied the values of her parents. She was a sister who supported and uplifted her siblings, Maeve, Eamonn, Bronagh, Theresa, Kathryn, and David, through life's ups and downs. Her family bond was unbreakable, and her passing has left a gaping hole in their lives.
Sheila's funeral arrangements are as follows: She will be reposing at Patsy Taggart’s Funeral home, 4a Western Business Park, Coalisland, BT71 4ND, from 6 pm to 9 pm on Saturday and from 12 noon to 9 pm on Sunday. The removal on Monday will take her to St Patrick’s Church, Clonoe, for an 11 am Requiem Mass, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.
Her passing has left a profound impact on her family and friends, who will forever cherish her memory. But it's the stories and memories shared during her funeral that will truly honor her legacy.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on her soul.
