Atomos has announced a groundbreaking firmware update for its Ninja TX GO and Ninja TX monitor-recorders, unlocking the full potential of the Canon EOS R6 Mark III camera with pristine ProRes RAW recording capabilities.
This update, version 12.2.1, revolutionizes the way filmmakers capture and record high-quality footage. With this release, Atomos empowers creators to harness the EOS R6 Mark III's exceptional sensor, delivering unparalleled detail and precision in their recordings.
The Ninja TX and Ninja TX GO offer a remarkable video resolution of up to 6960 x 3672 at 30P and 4320 x 2278 at 60P, ensuring stunning visuals. Moreover, they provide camera control over the EOS R6 Mk III via USB-C, granting filmmakers complete command of their creative process.

Ninja TX GO and Ninja TX are Atomos' cutting-edge on-camera monitor-recorders, designed to cater to the needs of professional filmmakers and content creators. They feature a vibrant 5-inch HDR touchscreen display, supporting advanced recording formats like Apple ProRes RAW, ProRes RAW HQ, ProRes LT, 422 & 422 HQ, and Avid DNx, ensuring high-quality, edit-ready footage.
Additionally, these devices offer real-time monitoring tools, including EL Zone, waveform, focus peaking, and LUT support, with camera control and touch focus on compatible cameras. They record directly to CFexpress cards over HDMI (Ninja TX GO) or SDI & HDMI (Ninja TX), facilitating extended recording times and seamless post-production workflows.
The Canon EOS R6 Mark III, a hybrid mirrorless camera, boasts a 32.5MP full-frame CMOS sensor, DIGIC X processor, and Dual Pixel CMOS AF II. It excels in high-speed continuous shooting at up to 40 fps, offers up to 8.5 stops of in-body image stabilization, and supports advanced video features such as 7K 60p RAW and oversampled 4K up to 60p. The camera also includes a single CFexpress Type B and a single SD UHS-II card slot.
