Yuki Tsunoda urged to leave Red Bull after seat cut
Fans believe Tsunoda should depart from the Red Bull F1 stable to reclaim a spot on the grand prix grid. On Tuesday it was confirmed that Tsunoda will not return to the cockpit alongside Max Verstappen in 2026, as Red Bull opted to drop him to a test and reserve role following disappointing performances.
Isack Hadjar will take his place, while Arvid Lindblad will step up to partner Hadjar alongside Liam Lawson at Racing Bulls.
Consequently, after five seasons in Formula 1, Tsunoda is not expected to race in 2026, with all 18 seats currently filled, though the driver market is set to reopen in 2027.
A majority of F1 fans polled by RacingNews365 believe the Japanese driver should pursue opportunities with another team outside the Red Bull fold, with an IndyCar move also perceived as a viable option.

But here’s where it gets controversial: should a driver leaving a powerhouse program be seen as a step forward or a stumble? And does a switch to IndyCar genuinely offer better career security, or just a different challenge? Share your take in the comments: would you back Tsunoda's exit from Red Bull for a fresh start, or see him as a valuable asset still able to climb back into Formula 1? And if you disagree, what path would you suggest for maximizing his prospects in 2027 and beyond?
